Hello Everyone,
Thanks for visiting my website. 2010 was another amazing year on the ice. Skating at the Intermediate level for the first time, I was able to capture 15 Gold medals at 5 different competitions!
For the second year in a row, I took the gold at the U.S. Figure Skating Regional Championships, which were held in North Carolina. That win qualified me for my second U.S. Junior National competition in Salt Lake City, Utah where I placed 5th in the Nation!
A special shout out and thanks to my coaches Ilona and Artem for helping me get to Junior Nationals for the second year in a row. Competing with other skaters from around the country and having my friends and skaters from the Panthers Figure Skating Club with me at Nationals was awesome! I could not have done it without my coaches help. Congrats to fellow Panther Club members Jackie Jablon, Vannessa Feigenbaum and Andrew Torgashev on making it to Nationals and for Andrew winning Bronze. Skating on the Olympic venues in Salt Lake City is something that I will remember for the rest of my life!
I’m really excited about moving up to the Novice level. Bigger jumps and more competitions around the country. New music, new dresses and landing triples are all ahead in 2011.
A very special thank you to everyone who helped sponsor me by joining Team Franchesca, Big props to my Corporate Sponsors Ocean Properties, the Delray Beach and Salt Lake City Marriott hotels, Weidenfeld Financial Group of Raymond James, Summit Brokerage Services, Inc., W.S. Nielson Company and Trivia Challenge Weekly.
Mom, Dad, and Grandma, thanks for getting up so early, the afternoon snacks, and for all you do getting me to and from the rink each day. To the teachers, principal and staff at Sawgrass Middle School, thanks for letting me pursue my dreams. To my Brothers Dom and Louie, Gina, Nouna and all my cousins, aunts and uncles, thanks for your love and support!
Best of luck to all my fellow Panther Figure Skaters! See you on the Ice,
Love, Franchesca
